Our second year at the show. We knew a little more of what to expect and were super excited. This year, we were being filmed by the BBC for a segment on the program which was to be aired on the Friday of the show. The segment focussed on our rescue plants, H's love for this work and of course the run up to the show.
We had a little hitch in that H and Penni got stuck on the motorway on the way up during build up, causing huge delays and making the camera crew wait hours for us to turn up!
But we finally arrived, got the display sorted and were ready to go. H did a talk on the houseplant stage hosted by Ellen Mary, and after the show was aired on Friday night we had a huge influx of customers. The star of the show was the huge Lophocereus schottii monstrose, nicknamed Potato, which sold immediately!
We met some incredible people this year, and set some great foundations for the future. It was hot, sweaty and tiring but we absolutely loved it.
